Scotland deserved to qualify more than England, they had a tough group and punched above their weight. England had a fairly easy group, and missed out to a team with no notable victories over anyone decent in recent history, aside from the football powerhouse that is England

Have no fear though. The suits at the FA have promised a "root and branch" investigation into what went wrong, and lessons will be learned etc.
So, all sorted then.

The only problem is that the FA are the last people I'd trust to do it properly!

Good point from TF - remember that Sven following Englands exit from the World Cup is being paid in the region of 5 million pounds for his failure- that is 1 million per year and there is still another 4 million to pay - what a debacle.

Because if they did not, then they themselves would not be getting good money, would they? The point of giving high figure to failing manage is to shift attention salary wise to the manager, not the board who, I am sure, make pretty good money themselves while failing all the time.
