This is the biggest problem with poofball, imlop...because the clubs run the sport, those who own the clubs own poofball.

You can blame the NZRFU for many things, their involvement in the JFK shooting, being part of the moon landing hoax, their involvement in 9/11 BUT in one important aspect they got things right...they own the players, not the clubs and as such, they own the sport, not the clubs.

Some of you gimps get the chance to take the p1ss our of our beloved All Blacks once every four years...but crickey, you guys build your poof ball team up on a pedestal of hope and then what happens? Your poofball players arent up to it. Reality and your poofball hopes live in two different places

Also, your poofball clubs have too many foreigners here. They are taking your competitions for rides and giving nothing back. Whats the use of having a premier league team turning out with no English players in the starting lineup?

You gotta sort that out, get your own players in to the top teams and give them exposure to playing at the top level.

Oh yeah, and you gotta introduce video refs.

Having said all that, I guess us rugby followers have a lot to thank poof ball for because if it wasnt for poof ball, the scum that follow your sport would probably be stinking up our beloved rugby games to the point where opposition fans cant sit next to each other without trying to rip new holes for each other!

IMHO - when you have complete teams in the FA made up of foreigners, don't complain when your national team can't compete at the international level.

Good point, has been made for years, but that isn't the whole story.

BUT its one of the main reasons you poms dont have any half decent poof ball players apart from that geezer married to the bint from the girls band who cant sing

Well, that and the fact poof ball is corrupted by money!

That and the low expectation of English football fans. In Canada the people expect the Ice Hockey teams (women and men) to win the world champs every year. the Curlers to win the world champs each year. Anything less and nobody shows up at the airport to cheer on their return.

Maybe the fans need to put more pressure on these overpaid tw4ts that flop into the penalty area if hit by a mosquito, and they'll do better.

I think when NZ starts winning a few tournaments then you can start dispensing your words of advice. Until then I'd suggest some psychological coaching to get over the choking thing you guys seem to specialise in.

EU laws do not allow the football authorities to have rules that discriminate in favour of English players.

Interestingly, it was Alex Ferguson who first campaigned for doing away with quotas in the mid nineties, when he had to keep dropping a foreigner or two to keep within the "four-per-team" limit, the tipping point being a 4-0 defeat in Barcelona in the European Cup in which he had to choose between (IIRC) Schmeichel and Hughes.

Now it is he who is campaigning to bring it back.

It would have to be an informal agreement, but the likes of Wenger, who is top of the league with no English players, will tell the rest where they can stick it.

I predict McClaren will name himself as sub. His last chance to get an international cap.
