Yes but not in a modern diving helmet or band-mask.Originally posted by Troll View PostCan you wear a turban in a diving suit?
If the guy was ultra fit and insisted on wearing a turban whilst working, would I have to give him a job that he was unsuitable for or face discriminatory charges

I know there exists at least one Sikh who is a professional diver. Jacko probably knows him too. Does black water work, i.e. he's really good. Wears a sort of little mini turban thing.Originally posted by Diver View PostYes but not in a modern diving helmet or band-mask.

This comment made me chuckle :
Wait until she tries to get a job at a pole dancing club wearing a jihab!
The owner was foolish, she should have let her do the trial day and judged her on her work. If she was good enough no-one would care what she wore. From the 25 interviews it appears she was truly stickleback!
Rule 1 - Don't mention anything controversial in the rejection letter!
I'm a man and I do assess hairdressers on their appearance, however if one wore a headscarf in a funky establishment, personally I'd think good on them, obviously the manager considers her skills good enough to overcome the slight negative image (yes it is a slight negative image - sorry I like to see hairdressers hair).
As wearing the covering is optional it can't be religous discrimination.Comment
