The unfortunate thing for Enoch was that he became the focal point of where people stood on immigration. Instead of being taken for what he said (entirely reasonable) he polarised people with racists on the one hand using his speech to justify their extreme views and the left on the other who used it as a target to justify and expunge their guilt.

Cameron needs to distance himself from Enoch whilst understanding where Enoch was coming from. If one bothers to read what Enoch actually said, he was simply and plainly assessing the impacts of immigration. And as time moves on he is being continually proved right.

The basis of Enoch's point was right. It is undeniable that having people of different cultures does create tensions that simply do not exist in a more homogenous society and there is no society of mixed origin that does not have significant problems. I used to think Brazil was one example of a mixed society that really works, but not so if you do a bit of research.

The problem was the language, all that "grinning piccanies" stuff certainly gave the impression that race rather than cultural difference was the important issue. These things do need to be tackled rather more sensitively and for once I think the Blithering Drivelling (Phony Tory leader) Cameron got something right in his speech the other day.

Threaded has not the intelligence to realise that his posts have the opposite effect to that which he intends.

Summit to do with Enoch being a classical scholar and given to (mis)quoting Latin maybe?

Isn't it the remainder of Virgil's prophecy?

Threaded was there when it was written, so he should know.
