An accident's an accident. But if the accident was criminally negligent, then it might be worth covering up. Causing death through criminal negligence is manslaugher (3rd degree murder).

I can't help feeling this is more to do with the police running out of leads than anything else. I'd be happy to see them face some kind of negligence charge, but it's a bit of a leap to think they are directly responsible. But then the police might have much better evidence than we know about.
I think the most likely explanation is that she wandered off by herself and fell down a well or something. Will work inside IR35. Or for food.Comment

According to the BBC news website, there were traces of madelines blood in their hire car, which was hired 25 days after she went missing
Do you think people who pack the confectionary into boxes at fudge making factories tell people what they do for a living?Comment

I though he was a doctor? The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment

Plus if it was an accident and they were trying to cover it up, surely by now they would of broken and just admitted it. They are bloody good liars if the have done something, I just cant see it at all, at worse 'maybe' they did give the kid some sleeping pills and they feel guilty that who ever took her didnt have much of a job doing it.

If they are behind this, then I think they're just on a power trip. I.e. getting a big thrill out of getting away with it and getting to be in the spotlight. The accident explanation doesn't make any sense as they would have just come clean.
Nothing to do with them, or completely guility. Will work inside IR35. Or for food.Comment
