I rented a Ford Mondeo Auto today. The stickers say Made in Cologne Germany. It is a German built car.

I have rented it for two weeks because I am woking at the bank in Dorsetshire for a short time. Lots of bends in the road, why? What is the reason?

Badges matter as much in cars as they do in anything else from clothes where you live what you do, who (or what in the case of this board) you screw, and what you wear.

        Branding works

          Branding works
Car brands and what they they say to me:

          Merc/BMW: No taste/no imagination/drug dealer
          Alfa: Cool
VW Golf: Boring/Middle of the Road
          Ford/Vauxhall Don't give a tulipe/consider cars to be A to B machines
Skoda/Passat Low level wannabe (probably a junior tape changer)
          Porsche More money than sense
Citroen/Peugeot Euro wannabe - probably admire the Frogs

GOLF MK1 GTI is probably the greatest car of the 20th century

The MK5 Golf GTI is still one of the best cars in my opinion today......
              Keep it clean!!!

14 year old Mondeo, even the mechanics thought it would fail the MOT, sailed through again, last 3 years MOT have been 2 plastic filters & 2 lightbulbs to pass.

I'm still aspiring to Xoggy's van lifestyle.

Some roads follow historical cart tracks which would often go around fields & are therefore bent
Some roads are overlaid onto previous Roman roads which tended to be straight.
Some roads like the M25 are gay & deliberately circular

You aren't going to retire early by buying brand new Mondeos. 5-10 year old ones maybe.
But buy new and you will lose a huge chunk of money in the first year, just as you always do on any medium to large sized Ford.

The last model ST220 was a good car but would lose about £10k in little over a year.
