Just been looking at a Subaru Forester XT, it looks a bit sedate and boring but it does 0-60 in 5.8 seconds... enough to embarrass the barryboys at the lights.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment

i was next to an TDi Audi A3 this morning, he thought he was going to burn me at the lights so he takes the right lane. I was 3 car lengths away before he was off the line. It never ceases to amase me how little people know about the (lack of) performance of their car.The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment

The Subaru Forester has long been the car of choice of the aristocratic landed classes.Originally posted by gingerjedi View PostJust been looking at a Subaru Forester XT, it looks a bit sedate and boring but it does 0-60 in 5.8 seconds... enough to embarrass the barryboys at the lights.
Hard Brexit now!

Stands to reason if you’ve got lots of land and need to get about quickly, not for me then.Originally posted by sasguru View PostThe Subaru Forester has long been the car of choice of the aristocratic landed classes.

For a cheapish, fun, fast, long distance commute the Mazda 6 MPS is well nigh on perfect, according to mate who's had one from new for 2 years. He does about 11k miles a year.Originally posted by Muttley08 View PostI've been pondering that - probably looking for a new car in next year, and a mate who had a Mazda 6 said it was a damn fine car. Only thing puts me off in some of the lights at the back look a bit chavish... bit glitzy - if that makes sense...
Have you actually had one?
I drove it and thought it was very good: comfortable, fast, nice cabin - and no doubt very reliable.
Know what you mean about the rear lights though - and it's a bit bland to look at (which may be no bad thing in London).Hard Brexit now!
