Other car is a Izuzu Trooper used for getting us out of snow and towing the horse trailer. Its a relief getting into the comfort of the merc after spending any time in that tractor but its also cool been able to go anywhere. wanted a defender but didnt want the attached direct debit to the local garage for duck tape and welding

Good cars, and nearly always come in the top 5 in the JD Power Surveys. They go like sh*t off a shovel apparently. Nearly got one a few weeks ago, but went for a Impreza WRX Wagon instead.

There are some great videos of the Forester on YouTube

So I have a Impreza WRX for the Mrs to drive in the week and me to have some fun with at the weekend, and a Diesel Passatt for the daily commute and it runs on BioDiesel that I get for 79p a litre

            I'm getting WRX deja-vu, I'm sure we've done this thread before ...

I love my WRX, had it for 3 years never had any hassle with it, costs stuff all to run compared to my Evo. Looked at Forester but it doesn't actually have a huge amount more capacity - enjoyed me test drive in it tho'.

              Portseven,

I don't know why you are so excited about bio diesel for 79p a litre, here on the mainland we pay 1 euro 5 a litre for the real thing, what's that in old money, about 70p !!!

Ford Mondeo Titanium (best Ford ever)

Would you buy one or is the brand/badge the overwhelming criterion?

Now that would be the height of cool (except for a Series I) - nope a Series III - 1971 built - no car tax - £100 to insure - but don't ask about mpg

My car is 1 year younger than me
