IMO I think the fact that they are both good looking white middle class Drs had a lot to do with all the attention given to the case (both good and bad attention ) after all this society loves beating up middle classes

I saw an interview with Michael Kane a couple of years ago, he said he preferred to live in the US because of the mentality towards successful people, in the US if they see someone who made it, the successful person is used as a role model others aspire to be like, however in the UK when someone makes it big, everyone tries to bring them down.

The example he used is: in the UK if you drive a Porsche or a Ferrari, people don't look at you and say, one day I want to own one a car like this (US mentality), they are more likely to walk towards you and scratch your car.

Probably because we are becoming more insular like our american cousins and are only concerned with news that has relevance to our country.

The worst case scenario is that the parents themselves accidently killed the kid, got rid of the body and invented the whole thing and then went on the most public search for a missing kid in order to dissolve the possibility of accusation of manslaughter (which will never see the day of light because their tenacious attempt to search for the phantom child snatcher puts them above suspicion).

Although I don´t actually think that is the case.

I think there's something very very very strange about this whole Madeline thing.

I'll be the first to admit that I dont have kids, so I dont know what the parents are feeling, but I just think the whole thing has stunk since the get go.

They put their other 2 kids in a creche every day? That whole "Hello" photo spread a couple of weeks ago? Jetting off to see the pope and leaving their other kids behind?

Surely if they've just lost one kid, they wouldn't want their other kids out of their sights for a second?! Why both go and see the pope? why put the kids in a creche every day, in the custody of strangers, when they're both in their apartment every day?
Could any of you lot who have kids pull those grins a fortnight after one of your own kids disappearred like we saw in those photos?

I've just found the whole thing very wierd since day 1.

I'm not accusing the parents of being involved, but it wouldn't shock me if that's what came out like.

I'm not being a troll here either, I genuinely mean this. Cant keep it in any longer having just watched them say bye to their twins to get on their jet and leave the country, like they were saying goodbye to pop to the shops.

            Very wierd.
Because My dear, seeing the pope is an action that will keep people talking about it. This is all that they can do – try to keep attention to the case, otherwise it will fade out so their hopes.

Well me dear, you only answered one of my questions - care to answer the others?

Sorry , I lost the trail of the case when I ceased watching TV having found I was doing it illegally since the accommodation agency have been complete scum and have not paid for TV licensing. Later I did some research on the “ Antenna Equipped Vans” and found 50 percent of the people believe these were real , I chickened out and turned the TV off.

Did you ever think to actually pay for a TV licence yourself instead of relying on someone else to do it for you?

No since I stayed there only 2 months. An agency that ads its flats "TV equipped" might as well make sure they are licensed. This kinda makes sense when you let people short term.
