Oh, my answer to the question is anyone behaving suspiciously in an airport should be targeted.Last edited by scotspine; 3 May 2007, 09:52. -
The Yanks have a right to refuse entry to anyone they choose, however this particular targeted group would be a little offensive.
I also do not understand the particulars of the target group. Are Brits of Pakistani background the only likely terrorist threat to the US?I am not qualified to give the above advice!

How do they differentiate? I have a Pakistani chap working with me, and you'd think he was just another Yorkshireman from a long line up on't'Moors.Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.

Hang on...are they British or Pakistani. Their ethnic origin may be Pakistani, but if they are British, they should be treated the same as all other Britons. In the case of the Yanks, they treat us all like the mud on their shoes anyway...Illegitimus non carborundum est!Comment

Is there a link to this story?
Since RR tried to blow up his shoe I had thought that the days of the visa waiver scheme for the UK were numbered. How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't thinkComment

No doubt Tony will come up with a "rational" explanation why the british goverment will not lodge a complaint with the US if the US does take this tack with any british passport holder.McCoy: "Medical men are trained in logic."
Spock: "Trained? Judging from you, I would have guessed it was trial and error."Comment

A thought that strikes me is that these biometric passports were brought in so that people could continue to do the visa waiver thang with the USA. Obviously that is now all bollox, so are the UK scumervent going to drop these biometric passports? I won't hold my breath...Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.
