Most poofs and lezzers do not do it through choice. Some mixed up kids make a choice, probably influenced by upbringing, but being gay is not learned or chosen for most.

Our attitude against them is learned behaviour. The reason we find them offensive is because we been taught by society to do so. This has mostly been influenced by the teachings of assorted churches. I had not realised so many of you were so religiously commited. Chico will be pleased.

Do you all realy believe that same sex sex is wrong? What is your criteria for acceptable sex? The only natural urge (if that is what you are alluding to) is for procration of the species. If that is the case then wanking and blow jobs are out too. This would also make a mockery of marriage and monogamy as men are capable of impregnating lots and lots of women rather than just one every year.

Just to throw the cat among the pigeons even more - when I was at university I took a module called Human Evolution (the same course incidentally where they tackled the subject of the relationship between homosexuality, genetics and evolution). In one lecture the professor, a woman I might add, tackled exactly the same subject and pointed out that from a genetic point of view (evolution is agreed to happen at the genetic level now, not the macro level as suggested by Darwin) rape is a perfectly normal behaviour - it is a societal doctrine that has outlawed it. Evolution and genetics is all about expense, and from this point of view it makes sense due to the imbalance of gametes (sperm and eggs) in the male and female. The male's "job" is to impregnate as many women as possible and the female's "job" is to try and resist the advancements of undesireable males.

Interestingly enough, many women walked out of the lecture disgusted, much in the same way that many people on here are professing disgust over homosexuality. Some people just don't want to accept science over what they've been taught by society and the church, yet I bet that no-one here would profess to believe that the Sun revolves around the Earth - a similar kind of discussion that happened 500 years ago...

Actually it is. Nearly every animal has been observed showing homosexual like behaviour (or at least refusing to mate). Evolutionary biologists speculate that homosexuality is a genetic defense mechanism to stop a bad genetic mutation from passing on into the next generation. The host of the genetic mutation is unlikely to show any effects from this mutation but the host's genes know that it is potentially dangerous if mixed with other genes. Therefore, people are born homosexual. This is also why there is no such thing as a "gay gene". All genes are potentially "gay".

Grab a copy of "The Selfish Gene" or a university level genetics textbook and educate yourself before you spout such offensive rubbish to the wrong person.

Oh please, there is nothing abnormal about homosexuality - it's not more normal, it's equally normal. It is a perfectly natural state of affairs. I'm merely stating scientific fact. If you disagree, it's because you have not educated yourself properly with the facts - therefore by definition you are lacking in education in this area.

What is offensive is not necessarily the statements themselves, but the fact that someone can post an opinion that goes against scientific knowledge and claim they are entitled to because they haven't bothered reading around the subject. It's pure laziness, weak reasoning, and most importantly illustrating your own prejudices.

Normality is average, same goes for "natural" things - an average thing that happens: "naturality" also takes into account ability to conduct that natural thing over very long span of time - if everyone was gay then civilisation would end because there would be no children.
