Oh please, there is nothing abnormal about homosexuality - it's not more normal, it's equally normal. It is a perfectly natural state of affairs. I'm merely stating scientific fact. If you disagree, it's because you have not educated yourself properly with the facts - therefore by definition you are lacking in education in this area.

What is offensive is not necessarily the statements themselves, but the fact that someone can post an opinion that goes against scientific knowledge and claim they are entitled to because they haven't bothered reading around the subject. It's pure laziness, weak reasoning, and most importantly illustrating your own prejudices.

In your opinion it's perfectly normal. By definition of normal sexual practice it's clearly not normal. the scientific fact you state is no different to a dog rubbing it's genitals on someones leg, it's for sexual gratification, all animals will do such things. This doesn't escape the fact that normal coupling in animals and humans is hetrosexual you will always get deviancy, for whatever reason. But we don't need to pretend deviancy is 'normal', why would we?
If so why not pretend bestiality is normal?

You just need to realise that the definition of "normal sexual practice" you are using is a religious one, not a scientific one. If you are happy with that then fine - all I'm attempting to do in this thread is point that out.

Consenting adults and all that, but I agree it's pure political correctness to talk of homo-sexuality as "normal". Homosexual sex can only be a perversion of what sex is for (i.e. reproduction). However, you can say exactly the same about heterosexual couples using contraception, as the "normal" thing is for us all to try to pass on our genes as dictated by evolution.

As for the kiddies, we should be teaching them to be open minded.

Probably not in the way it's being done, no. There shouldn't be books that are designed to raise homosexuality as an issue. It should just be present as a normal thing in children's literature (and not with a sexual angle either - that is something that is not important).
