Just had a heating engineer round under our service contract to deal with a leak. Turned out to be a plumbing issue, not in his remit. But he fixed it anyway. There are some nice people around.

Yeh. Needed a chainsaw fixing a few months back and neighbour told me about a bloke up the road who did such things. Took it up to him and about 20 mins later he came back with it fixed and said he didn't want paying. I brought him a bottle of wine anyway.bloggoth
