    Mounjaro

Looks like it's the latest craze on Mumsnet. Anyone else in the fat club over on this side of the divide?

      I had to google that.

It's good to know that, no matter how fecked up modern life becomes, we can rely on science for a quick fix.

        They aren't a quick fix.

Most of the side effects are due to people who are on it who either don't change their eating habits or stop eating.

Maybe not quick but "easier" than the alternative of sensible eating and exercise?

They still have to do that unless they want an increased risk of suffering the side effects.

The main thing it apparently does for people is to stop them thinking about food all the time. (This is where you get the people who don't eat and drink enough so end up suffering the side effects.)

A few days in Lanzarote airport would probably cure them of that.

That's my understanding, you still have to put the hard work in to shift the weight and follow a calorie-controlled diet but it suppresses the food noise that sabotages many people's efforts. So it's more of an aide rather than a cheat like the old-school amphetamines.

I've taken the first dose now and have to wait a month before I can increase the dosage up to the therapeutic strength. Hopefully the 5g signals and chem trails won't be able to control me...

Amphetamines are much more fun though
