A £22B black hole has allowed them to spaff money on Train Drivers and Doctors and foreign trips for the dear leader and his cohort. Special laws and exemptions provide our betters with better whilst economic ruin awaits the rest of us. Methinks Two Tier is less than unpopular but this sort of stuff / lies will turn unpopularity into hatred

Train drivers pay was hardly excessive — 5% backdated pay rise for 2022-23, a 4.75% rise for 23-24, and a 4.5% increase for 24-25.

Previous government was paying the train opcos millions of pounds for strike days and then you’ve got the costs of disruption to the wider economy

Way better to be pragmatic and settle

Same goes for the doctors who have had below inflation increases and had to work with under investment years - it’s no secret why waiting lists grew even before we burnt the medical orofession out during the pandemic

If you want people in work rather than on sickness benefits you need a health system that works too

Amuses me that a group of people who will fight tooth and nail for and extra £10 a day criticise others for trying to increase their income.

That is because train drivers work for very large organisations and are mostly attached to a large union base that has and will bring the country to its knees if its demands aren't met.

Truck drivers? They have a tendency to work for smaller companies, are not organised enough and with the influx of cheaper less arsey foreign drivers before brexit have diluted the cohesiveness and solidarity amongst their number.

Divide and conquer has been tried before with the railways - it didn't work.
