So, what did Spot do next?
And the lord said unto John; "come forth and receive eternal life." But John came fifth and won a toaster.

Was that your issue or the wrong choice of book?

I do find it difficult reading for pleasure if I am not relaxed.if I am travelling and have nothing else to do then reading works for me.

          the issue was life

finally everything we have been doing for the last 25 years is coming to fruition and as a consequence, on a selfish personal note, I am slowly finding inner peace and being able to read without thinking/worrying about other things

          Milan.

How can finding inner peace and becoming a happier man be selfish if it doesn't negatively affect others?
Congrats on your new peace making you a better person, from what little I know of you I imagine you deserve it.

I've been on this journey to becoming more at peace for the last 18 months

it has been triggered by the slow realisation that our situation is sustainable
