I always find it a strange juxtaposition when people post on a thread about people posting on a thread. You are right of course but always makes me smile. It's like when someone accidently sends a mail to a massive company distribution list and someone does reply all and it all kicks off. There's always a few people that reply to all to tell everyone to stop replying to all. Knobbers.'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!

Just because you can't imagine those rates doesn't mean they don't exist.Comment

The trick is wait a day or two after all the 'This isn't relevant for me, please remove me from the list' have stopped.Originally posted by northernladuk View Post

I believe the correct phraseology is:Originally posted by WTFH View PostI can't imagine such low rates, but I guess they must exist.

im perfectly comfortable with a 1000 pd rate. I'm well aware they exist. I'm comfortable with my own charge rate - slightly higher than that for second class consultancies.Originally posted by DrewG View Post

They do but a very small number of them. I'm not a great fan of using ITJobswatch as a yardstick but https://www.itjobswatch.co.uk/contra...by=3&orderby=0Originally posted by courtg9000 View Post

So less than half the first page of 110 pages has a median of over £1k. There will certainly be the odd person over 1k when there median can be significantly less but that is likely to be a minority as well, particularly bearing in mind more roles are at or under market rate.
So I think we are all aware there are 1k rates out there but the very low number advertised and experience/seniority needed to attain them then it's a pipe dream for 99.9% of us.'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!
