Full expensing is good, everything else seems like pouring petrol on inflation.

Erm, so nowt here for us, right? Full expensing -- that's about it. About to email the accountant to have it explained to me like a simpleton to see if I can claw back a few capital purchases. 110 measures for growth. Not sure I could remember a single one?Comment

It's "measures" not plans, investments, etc, but measures.Originally posted by BigLadFromBeeston666 View Post110 measures for growth. Not sure I could remember a single one?
You can measure growth by length, width, height, weight, ...
Measuring something does not make it happen.
Doing something does.
It's like 40 new hospitals or 100,000 new houses a year. Empty, meaningless, non-existent. But we can afford to pay someone to be in charge of "anti-woke". Anti-woke builds no hospitals. Anti-woke doesn't give someone a roof over their head. Anti-woke can't be measured. All "anti-woke" does is deflect from the failures of government.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

I dont understand the part about doing away with Class 2 NI contributions. How is that possible, unless self employed are no longer going to use that to be entitled to a state pension? Wouldn't surprise me if that what was this antibusiness gov did. No PAYE? No pension for you!
Just googled and found this "Hunt said following the reform these earners will still be entitled to full access to state pension credits and other benefits."
Very strange.Comment

All of this is just run of the mill guff.
The bigger bribes will be on the next Budget in March, most likely last one before GE.

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

My money is on May '24 but I won't be surprised if it is in Jan 2025.
