Those ideas cost money and investment particularly long term investment - the last is something the government doesn't believe in."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JR -

If she looks back and wishes she hadn't been arrested she'd be Regreta Thunberg...

Well it looks like she got released.

Not sure how this is going to affect her image as a climate change poster girl. Well I do and anyone with a hole in their arse already knew it. Interesting to read the bit about the blue octopus perched perfectly on the chair back. She states she wasn't aware it was something linked to antisemitism. Kinda of makes the whole effort pointless if shes had to admit she's cluelss about the topic.
World would be a much better place if the press would stop giving this waste of time page space.'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!

It won't.
She's an activist not a politician, has admitted she has done wrong and apologised.
However depending on the Home Secretary due to her activism and views I'm sure she can be banned from the UK. Home Secretaries have banned people in the past who are religious leaders or extreme right/left wing politicians who didn't get a chance to be arrested by the police."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

I'm never comfortable with these 'hidden' symbolisms. Often seems like people are branded guilty just because some randomer made a connection absolutely no one else made including the transgressor. If you're not a bigot then you're probably not going to know all the ins and outs of bigotry symbolism.Originally posted by northernladuk View PostWell it looks like she got released.

Ask random people on the street what '88' means in relation to jews and I bet almost no one would know.Comment

Kind of half agree with that and statement about 88 but if you are an activist or get involved surely it's your job to have a clue if you want to be taken seriously. The octopus was deliberatly placed in that position. No one setting up a photo shoot like that would 'forget' to move it or could argue that's where it normally lives. It just happened to be there, stayed put during the shoot and just happened to be connected to the topic of the photo shoot but was a mistake? No chance.Originally posted by JustKeepSwimming View Post

To shoot yourself in the foot by not understanding the symbolism of something you are making a strong statement is just ridiculous and does them no favours. Thankfully most activities don't really have a clue and aren't smart enough to work this out.
As it happens I did know the 88 but only because of America gang/crime movies to be fair.'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!

See I think it being intentional is less likely than an oversight. She immediately deleted the tweet once it was pointed out. It was hardly a professional shoot, it was 4 kids holding signs on a grungy sofa in some digs. Surprised didn't see a bong and 2l bottle of strongbow.Originally posted by northernladuk View Post
