    Good start magic Auntie

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...win-power.html

Moment Keir Starmer is caught on camera saying Labour 'don't want to diverge' from EU rules at centre-left summit amid claims he wants to 'reverse Brexit by stealth' if he wins power
Now a quick public cuddle with the Taliban and Vlad then the Conservatives can put up a panto horse for election.

    oooh sur------cker!!!

I don't necessarily think he is misjudging public opinion especially if the whole multi speed EU materialises.

Drop 'ever closer union' and the politics involved in it and what issues do most people have left? Even FoM can be solved relatively easily with something like 'You must be resident of the UK (or Ireland) for 5 years before being eligible for any benefits'.

actually that sort of makes sense but that isn't what is on offer yet.

It's not, but there are mumblings from France and Germany that it is being considered and looking at the road ahead for the EU I don't really think they have much choice. Recession/Euro-crisis and mass uncontrolled migration won't be pretty if the EU hand's are tied because some members don't want to give them more powers.

This could have been done and enforced when the UK was part of the EU. In fact some EU members have similar rules.

That would involve our government taking responsibility.

And "yes" a lot of EU countries have those rules. You can also transfer benefits to another country if they have the equivalent.

actually the ever closer union couldn't be dropped. That was the point.

Deporting criminals has been stopped by ECHR (an EU pre -requisite) same for Rwanda trips. Lets not talk about fishing.

Which is nothing to do with the EU and a court that Britain under Churchill helped set up.

Oh I'm listening to the fact that the British Safety Mark was dropped quietly over the summer, because manufacturers and industries insisted that not using the EU CE safety mark would cause them problems.

oh so being an EU member doesn't require you to be a member of the ECHR? Can you quote a reference?
