Artist who supplied museum with two blank canvasses for project named 'Take the Money and Run' is ordered to repay the £58,000 he was given
    • Jens Haaning, 58, was supposed to use the cash as part of an artwork for display
    • Instead museum staff faced empty canvasses when he revealed his work

    Must have been a contractor

So the museum director thought it was funny and saw the message of the work and decided to display it?

Assume the contract was specific to what it was asking for, money in the frame, then sure it's a breach of contract but IMO the museum decision to hang the artwork is them accepting the breach.

Under English and Welsh law maybe, but not necessarily under Dutch law.

Of course. The museum just comes across like a dick.
