      According to a new council report, the authority was meant to change such processes to fit Oracle's requirements.

      Instead another approach was taken and the problems emerged.

      Jesus, Mary and the wee baby donkey. Have these guys never heard of change management?

        Clients have requirements and suppliers provide them so WTF was BCC having to accommodate Oracle's requirements IT projects are like every other and expand to consume the money available rather than get managed to meet the value demand

          Had a not dissimilar approach at a large multinational I worked at They went Half Oracle (do it our way) and half SAP (do it however you like if you can afford the consultancy £££££££) turned out as an "interesting" solution.

            Yeah, damn right I am responsible… as in will have to pay extra taxes to cover it
