So £28k for Indian grads working for TCS/Wipro/Infosys

The EU guys who wanted £45k-£60k were never a threat in comparison.
But people vote based on the sh*t and lies they are fed.
If they were any good we'd be f*cked - they're not, so we're not.

well. The £35k ones aren't. But I don't believe there are no good Indian techs.
It won't be long before someone cottons on and starts to bring over some decent ones.

And here lies the problem, it's not the market going rate, but the going rate for other chaps on visas (although one might argue that if all bobs on visas are being paid around £35k, then it is the going rate for them of course). If the definition of going rate is left open, then it does not work and I'm sure someone writing those rules was fully aware of that.

As for being f*cked, based on the State of the market thread, it's not all peachy now is it?

at our level then the EU guys were no threat and I have worked with a load of really good ones.

But it was clear the EU staff at the bottom end undercut the locals (of all cultures). This was clear from the lower end wages.

Not everyone is > 90th percentile on wages.

I've never been as busy.... But then I've repositioned my areas of specialisation to stay relevant, and do what the bobs can't/won't/don't (hint: it starts with "govern" and ends in "nce").
