The applicant number on linkedin is nonsense.

Any mods want to do something about this tedious chunt and put us out of our misery?
The fact you had to point out the number of applicants and didn't realise most are chancers and other recruiters makes you look like a bit of a pillock. Looks more like you got schooled by an agent which is very embarrasing for you.'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!! -
I wouldn't say it's nonsense, but it's the reality 'easy apply'. If it takes someone literally 2 seconds to send an application then of course you're going to get absurd numbers.Comment

No wonder agents are had to get hold of and don't want to talk to us.
I do notice a lot of agents make a post on linkedin but don't have DM turned on, I original thought it was just so tulipty linkedin way of increasing engagement so more people see it. It probably is to prevent mass messaging.Comment

I don't think the agent (internal recruitment) thinks I look like a "pillock" and she doesn't believe she 'schooled me". That's how you think about the world, always adversarial. I spoke to her and she was lovely. I am also aware most applicants are low effort, I was posting this to show the people that get upset about the amount of applicants.
There have been multiple comments from people that are downbeat about the volume of linkedin applicants.
The mods should really identify your abuse and trolling for what it is.Last edited by DrewG; 6 July 2023, 14:46.Comment

You've got the wrong context. It's nothing to do what the agent thinks. It's what youve posted to us and it's us that think you look like a pillock and have been schooled.
I've a feeling we will find out which of is trolling fairly shortly.Comment
