    The Party of Low Taxation

“Warning that further state borrowing would “just put fuel on the fire of inflation”, he added: “Inflation is the tax. So if we can halve inflation and then get it down to 2 per cent over time, that is the biggest tax cut we could deliver.

I expect the electorate has better ideas about what can be cut, beginning with the number of Tories in the HoC...

Trouble is they'll probably be replaced with even greater economic incompetents and we'll go down the pan even faster

I can't decide if I want politicians to have a grand vision for the future, something to inspire or I just want them to get out of the way and do as little as possible.

Right now, I think I would vote for a leader that said we are going to build a moon base. At least it would be fun.

Belgian had no government for a while - think it was over a year - and their country managed to tick on fine.

Sounds like we are all in agreement for a moon base.

Yes but only if the government gives the work of designing and building the moon base to us rather than some scummy offshore outsourcing company The problem we have is too many of our citizens don't believe in us and too much of the government doesn't see the potential in us
