Too many exciteable people on this thread dreaming up scenarios after the fact. IMHO it happened pretty much as the official line states. Ironically, many of the yank-bashers on here are uncharacteristically going to great pains to avoid levelling much-deserved charges of incompetence to a whole battery of bodies that were involved here from the FBI and the Oval Office downwards. The only possible cover-up for me revolves around Flight 93, and whether or not the passengers caused the crash or an F-16. However, considering what the powers that be might have been aware of at that time, it would have been an understandable reaction.

In fact that's the problem with conspiracy theories in general. Creating and covering up a major action/non-action pre-supposes a level of competence that any groups/bodies/organisations, let alone governments, do not possess.

Theres plenty of unanswered questions and theres plenty of suspect evidence so in effect they have made cock up after cock but they rely on people like you to do nothing and just go back to your safe little house thinking the world is flat. It cant be true can it?

I am generally sceptical about what is reported by the media and I like to scrutinise before I accept something as truth in my mind, just because on this occasion I'm not jumping round like a loony it doesn’t make me apathetic.

People are angry that it happened and want to know why it wasn't stopped, the only conspiracy is the cover up which was exposing the lack of intelligence the US spooks had.
