LOL - brilliant thread, with a full range of poorly informed, totally speculative responses claiming scientific basis.
Lets recap - man carries tons of explosives into some of the most highly guarded private buildings on the planet.
Yippee - just in time, some willing volunteers turn up in the jets.
Boom- set the explosives off at just the right moment.

It happened, there are some details to tidy up but the basic story is known. Any conspiracy would have been unearthed long ago by the worlds most intensive press scrutiny.
You always get nutters around every major world event, the sad thing is anyone believing them.

I know this may be difficult for you, but sit up straight, take a few deep breaths and try to concentrate.

1) Who was the supposed 'boss' of the terrorists?

2) Was he a good mate of the Bush dynasty?

I'm not trying to promulgate conspiracy theories here. There is probably a far more straightforward explanation of why and how 9/11 happened but I don't think the 'official' version is complete or entirely adds up.

Yes, 19 hijackers crashed 2 planes into the WTC one into the pentagon and the other was brought down in a struggle then the WTC collapsed, that can’t be it... can it?

It does not need the US Government to go to all the rigmarole of planning and executing the act, it just needs them to let someone else do it.

Given the way that investigations that would have lead to the hijackers were blocked it makes one think. Just have a look at The Path to 9/11. How John O'Neill's investigation seemed to be blocked for the weakest of reasons would seem to indicate that either the US Government or the PNAC colluded to ensure they had a free hand (or freeish). O'Neil left the FBI and became head of security at the WTC. He was killed on 9/11

Well YES, it may indeed be so!

If they did it alone, they would have exceeded their expectations by %1,000 and got lucky in a way that is rarely understood outside of the Vegas Strip when you win the jackpot with your last dime.

There just seem to be too many anomalies. Too many things that just don't sit right. Too much expert testemony lost or obfuscated.

I used to work at WTC (although 5 years before 9/11) but I felt it very personally. Maybe that's why I have questions rather than just accepting the official line.

Used to spend many happy evenings in the Tall Ships bar in the hotel (Vista No. 3 WTC).

Too many exciteable people on this thread dreaming up scenarios after the fact. IMHO it happened pretty much as the official line states. Ironically, many of the yank-bashers on here are uncharacteristically going to great pains to avoid levelling much-deserved charges of incompetence to a whole battery of bodies that were involved here from the FBI and the Oval Office downwards. The only possible cover-up for me revolves around Flight 93, and whether or not the passengers caused the crash or an F-16. However, considering what the powers that be might have been aware of at that time, it would have been an understandable reaction.
