Careful. Ziggy's going to think you're a leftie!

We aren't talking about politics. Caring for people doesn't make one left-wing any-more than being a small-minded unpleasant little internet troll conflates being in Liz Truss' fan club.

        imo - of course.
It's well known that poverty and obesity are linked, they all can't be lazy. Eating too much UPF is as much a symptom of poverty as are alcohol, gambling and drugs. They are all a way of desensitizing the self from the awful reality of life at the bottom. Poverty is stressful and constant stress itself causes harmful behavioural problems. Its no accident that run down areas are full of tulip food shops or like the article below says 'food swamps'. BTW the article was also in the Times and other papers.

Unfortunately we are talking about politics. At least if you read NAT's response to my post - hence my pointing out his lefty leanings!

nah if I were a lefty I would have said:

Frequently the better choices are made by the slave owning bourgeoise.

Forcing higher rate tax payers to cook extra food for those deprived on benefits let down by schools would be a sensible answer

Of course. And so would I. But Ziggy seems to find empathy, understanding and compassion to be a leftie trait, despite there being Tory MPs who do display these attributes.

Wringing your hands like a fairy and complaining that it's somebody else's fault are definitely lefty traits.

NAT I'm all for compassion and understanding but it's not hard to go-online and get a run down on how to eat healthly. I do agree that processed food is pushed in adverts and in the supermarkets. But there has to be some personal responsibility.

Anyway, I'm off to walk the dog and have a beer. Exercise and consume calories.
