Milan, I don't believe Zigenare is a troll, and therefore I attribute some underlying illness to the personality shifts. Common in diseases of the digestive tract and bowel disease, due to the known strong link of the digestive system with the brain. My wife is a gastro consultant and her PhD was on personality changes, particularly trending towards aggression and anger, as these diseases worsen. It's a fascinating area.

If he could prefer us to just out him as a xenophobe, racist, far right or whatever term of endearment is preferable then that is all well too.

Easy explanation:

Instead of jovial chat, a lot of General threads are just news items, with 'conversations', if you can call them that, become very politicised by nature of the biased article. In ye olden days face to face discussion lessened the extremists, but unfortunately these extremists just become more extreme and click with those who are also angry.

That's why rather old and unwell, likely mentally and physically, Zigenare - nobody can be that angry and ruthless without an underlying core reason, and it certainly isn't logic - and co call anybody who is in the centre of politics "woke", in order to try further their regressive right to far right wing agenda.

Unfortunately this politicalisation of the forum and polarisation wider society has driven away many of the regulars who once enjoyed chatting on the forum and contributing to the other sections. The easy route out is to blame the reduction in traffic on the IR35 private sector implementation, however the reputation is of a few attentions seekers and know-it-alls ruining the forums for other folk. A clean out would improve it, but I think the admin detects the writing is on the wall.

There are still plenty of decent contractors and permies posting here, and they know who they are. The attentions seekers seem pathological in nature and don't know they are the issue.

Hope you replaced your Skoda with an identical Skoda, just to make a point.
