There might be support, it's just not guaranteed after April. More than likely it will be means-tested.

The new PM Mr Hunt explicitly said, no govt support on energy bills after April next year.

That projected figure would be approx 1/4 of someone's take home pay if they on a Tory sponsored min wage job.

He didn’t. He promised a Treasury-led review on what the support should be after April. Also, gas prices are coming down sharply.

Gas prices are coming down because storage across Europe have been filled. Prices will rise sharply as the storage winds down over winter.

Or they will come down as demand slows into Spring . Either way, Hunt didn’t say what you said he did.

He did, but in a Tory lying manner

He's not going to be chancellor in April.

The UK of course sold all their storage off as we didn't need it because the Russkis were selling us cheap gas.

Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

When you say UK sold it off, it was actually Centrica.

Closure of UK’s largest gas storage site ‘could mean volatile prices’

Shuttering of Rough facility off Yorkshire coast by British Gas owner Centrica will increase dependence on imports, say critics

5 years later and they weren't wrong.
