Here we can discuss the party conference of our glorious leader, her chancellor with a "credible plan" and rest of her political kin who bother to turn up.

It's illogical to have tax cuts when it adversely effects the economy, it's a race to the bottom. We all need customers and clients so lets pay our taxes and grow the economy. Lets build the country's infrastructure so that people can travel to work cheaply, have affordable energy and have uncontaminated drinking water.Originally posted by AtW View PostNew tax cuts hopefully

Govts in the UK are only capable of increasing taxes or very rarely cutting them (or more like stopping new tax increases which isn’t the same as cutting tax), they are basically incapable of doing anything else - especially so when it comes to serious infrastructure (HS2, 3rd runway in Heathrow etc).Originally posted by Paddy View PostIt's illogical to have tax cuts when it adversely effects the economy, it's a race to the bottom. Yes it is, but it's worth remembering that the Dollar is high and going up, that we are actually in a better position overall than most of Europe, that a lot of the losses are being caused by speculation and that it's only been a bloody week and none of the changes have actually taken effect yet.Originally posted by Paddy View Post

The time to bitch about it all is in a month or so when the hysteria has settled down and the various financial experts like the NAO have reported on what's going on with a bit of accuracy.
If it's still all gone to ratchet by then, firstly I would be surprised and secondly I would start to worry about whatever comes next!Blog? What blog...?

Haven't seen any broken promises nor any lies. I have seen some over-optimistic mistakes and a lot of hysterics though...Originally posted by courtg9000 View PostI have heard that there will be a fantastic band playing, flyer below.

According to one young Conservative the conference is being held in a dump...
Well get into government and change it.
These youngsters have no get up and go!
https://www.theguardian.com/politics...irmingham-dump
A leading figure from the youth wing of the Conservative party has been told to leave Birmingham by the Tory mayor of the West Midlands for describing the city as a “dump”.
In a public rebuke, Andy Street told Daniel Grainger, the chair of Young Conservative Network (YCN), to leave Birmingham – and to “take anyone with the same views with you”.
It came after Grainger insulted the city, which is hosting this week’s Conservative party conference, on Twitter, writing in a now deleted post: “Birmingham is a dump.”"You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment
