Ok, I'd Like To Make An Announcement

Yesterday I posted an innocuous thread in the professional forums and received a number of replies accusing me of being another individual. I subsequently received a ban.

I find this absolutely astounding and I really have to say the moderation on this site is woeful.

You think you can just ban a new poster on such hearsay without allowing the poster to defend himself? This is not a good look for your site among the professional contractor community. I'm active on a number of other forums, including IPSE, and I'll be giving you a right panning over there too unless this situation is resolved.

    Is IPSE still a thing?

(Like we’ve ever cared what IPSE thought of us - most of the ex-members are on here now…)

How are you posting if you're banned?

He set up a new user account using another throw-away email address but still linked to the static IP that he was using previously, still hiding behind his alleged anonymity.

Sounds like a bannable offence ?

Well I couldn't use the email address I used last time could I? And why wouldn't I use the same IP? I don't deny being A Tablecloth. I deny the other allegations that were levelled at me.

You will find out there is no appeal process here and the admins can do whatever they please - Generally on Tuesdays and Thursday after lunch they are in a good mood

So I ve limited any new posts in the professionals for a while and just read very rarely replying

On Fridays they are especially cross and mean ... Try your luck next Tuesday afternoon .
