SA, in all of this you haven't mentioned your boyfriend or hubbie.

Surely, in a relationship, where one partner is unhappy with an issue, the other partner should be offering support and encouragement.

A problem shared, is a problem halved and all that.

Personally, my advice would be just do more of whatever non-food exercise that makes you happy...
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Why not post what you eat, before you eat it and we will tell you what we think.

      Just a thought.

My other half is no use when it comes to stuff like this - he loves me just as I am, and would love me the same if I was a size 10 or a size 30.

He occassionally tries to get us out for walks and stuff like that, but then we inevitably end up in the pub on the way back, soit kind of defeats the problem

He isn't happy about the stomach band thing like, but says he'd support me (whilst trying to the last dying second to talk me out of it).

I'm going to try Denny's idea of writing down my food and seeing what I can do without - I dont want to loose weight really, but I just don want to keep putting it on, so doing without certain things (but not everything) might help stable me out a bit.

I know you might bite my head off for this, but I really think if you cannot stop eating then you do have a problem. If you were saying you couldn't stop drinking / using drugs etc no-one would disagree.

I seriously suggest trying Overeaters Anonymous if you really can't stop.

Well, thats not strictly true - I'm not eating now for example.

                  I just eat a lot.

This morning for exaMple, I had a croissant on the train (at 7) then I had a toasted bacon and hash brown sarnie about 20 minutes ago
No doubt I'll have a sarnie on the train down to Brighton, possibly a double decker (as I havn't been able to stop thinking about them since someone mentioned them in a thread the other week), and then a night full of booze followed by some drunk food (cheesy chips or something).

Thats not really loads and loads, but it's too much and all the wrong things!

You're now on my ignore list.
Well that took longer than I thought

Suggest you read the book Slim 4 Life by Jason Vale (No I don't get any kick backs) I've read that one and his The Juice masters Ultimate fast food. very good books that not only explain which foods are good and bad but why they are and what they do to your body. I have and it has helped me think more about what i am eating and so generally have a healthier diet overall.

Also you should know that some people who have had the band operation have died because of complications either during the op or afterwards. And some people have to have it removed later on because of complications.
