DIY kits however are often inconsistent and pull up whole lists of food intolerances and allergies that cuts out lots of essential foods from the diet we need to stay healthy.

If SA doesn't feel ill or run down or has rashes, digestive or breathing problems then I doubt that it's an allergy or food intolerance. There's too much made of allergies these days - apparently we're all allergic to something and we're encourage to go on diets that cut out essential nutrients and minerals or else go on an Atikins style diet that cuts out carbs, dairy or wheat.

This is dangerous and ill conceived advice.

Denny, what kind of essential nutrients we'd miss if we stop eating sugar and flour?
And allergy tests taken by Doc do not take months !! a friend of mine did it and it took a few days for the result to come back.

I'm not saying she is guaranteed to be alergic to anything, and i'm not saying she should get a dodgy test, however it is a possibility that you can only rule out by having the tests done.

Take the time to have it done properly and if you have a problem you will find out and it could be life changing.

And Sandy, not she didn't reduce calorific intake she just changed the food groups that she ate so that she doesn't eat wheat. She was active and healthy anyway but the alergy just made her body bloat up, retain water and ws a nightmare for her.

Not everybody will have the same experiance if they find out they are alergic to certain food groups, her body was have a big adverse reaction to the wheat, others who are allergic to wheat will have a small adverse reaction, all depends on the individual.

Also worth mentioning I have only ever met 2 people who have wheat intolerances, so it is not particulary common. that doesn't mean it doesn't happen though!

Sally why not try this for two months:

        No Cakes
        No Chocolate
        No sugary drinks
        No take-aways
Drinking 1 night per week and no pints.

Go to the gym 2 times a week for one hour

        10 minutes stepper
        10 minutes rower
        15 brisk walk on jogger
        3 * 10 reps on resistance machines
        light weight exercises

Muscle burns more calories than fat.

The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

If you didn't like going to the gym, what would the equivalent running/cycling per week be?

I imagine a 60 minute run is similar to a gym workout and prob a 2 hour bike ride

I rarely feel ill, but I do have rashes I've been getting really bad allergic exma (never remember how to spell that) for the last couple of years, and the stupid fecking doctors just keep giving me cream instead of testing me for what is causing it.

Right - I'm giong to start a new thread on private healthcare

Same nutrients and roughage and more can be gained from eating extra fruit and veg, without having to ingest all the extra calories associated with the sugar and flour - ( I don't think many people snack on spoons of sugar and flour, these kind of food group usually comes packaged in highly calorific forms e.g. chocolate/cakes etc)

sounds to me that you are actually allergic to a food group, allergy to some foods can make it difficult to lose weight, but it doesn't stop it or make you gain weight without a reason.

Go get it checked out, its a step in the right direction, the more you know about what your body likes / dislikes the better
