I got a ticket to see them in Antwerp just before xmas and I sat there like an old git thinking "is this what we fought the punk wars for so that a bunch of bumpkins can start pomping it up again dribbling on about aliens and black holes?"

Still, they did make a good racket.

Muse are nothing like Yes, unless you've taken some very strong drugs (which is the only time Yes sound good anyway )

Bonn Scott was a poor mans Robert Plant.

Killers first album was pretty cool (well, the first half of it) - don't like the second album though - too whiney for me.

The Killers are a joke band. I can't stand them for the life of me. Their songs make no sense whatsoever.

The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Oasis - an average band gone completely to the dogs...

Muse - a great band currently going to the dogs...

The Brits - load of old cobblers...

              Next!!!

              Older and ...well, just older!!

The manics were the last band I could say I was a 'real fan' , must've seen em ten times. I saw them on that holy bible tour in Glasgow, cracking cover of pennyroyal tea.

I bought there last album though and couldn't even bring myself to listen to it twice. Still most bands would kill to write something like motorcycle emptiness, revol, faster and everything must go.

Oh well, I tried. But then I don't really know what your taste is to start with.

Have you tried http://www.last.fm ? You need to build up your profile with stuff you already listen to, then switch the player into "discovery" mode to play similar music to what you already have. I've discovered a few new things on there.
