Oh well, he broke his silence and the gist was "move along, nothing to see here".

Rishi Sunak wrote his resignation letter after party fine but settled on an apology
Shame he forgot to send it.

See this is what I hate about politics, whether international, government, or little corp level - it's not about what's best for humanity/country/company it's about power games/divisiveness/looking out for oneself. If everyone smoked a bit of weed (disclaimer- at least 30 years since I have!) and loved their neighbour the world might be a better place.

Yes if it was always a trade up, can't see trade downs been so well taken

He's already said he's not resigning.

Seems Angela drank so much at a "work meal" she forgot she was there... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-61271050

Labour deputy leader Angela Rayner was at an event where Sir Keir Starmer was filmed drinking a beer during lockdown last year, the party has said.

It had previously denied she was at the event, but now says that statement was a "mistake" made in "good faith".

The MP for North West Durham is a Tory and he is in a traditional Labour seat so a red wall Tory.

You aren't going to be reported to the police by someone in your own party. It will likely be someone in a different political party, a random member of the public, a pissed off current/former public servant
or - as in Cummings case - a member of your family.

Will, they, won't they... Sir Keir Starmer investigated over alleged lockdown breach

The force initially concluded that no offence had occurred on 30 April, but said it had since received "significant new information".

It added that it had delayed announcing the investigation until after Thursday's local elections.
