    Lap Desks

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a half decent lap desk please?
I have had a look on Amazon but the range is clearly baffling.
I can't use a standard desk anymore for reasons of discomfort owing to disability and have been looking at these things.
I currently have my laptop (Ms surface) perched on my lap with my phone, folder and tablet perched next to me on a sofa and I would like a better solution.
Do my learned friends have any suggestions please?

I will ask around at the local lap-dance club

Do you want something on casters that's height adjustable so you can move it around and change the height to match where you're sitting? Would you want a section of the table to tilt to present your laptop at an angle to make it easier to type?

      Something like this perhaps?

What about one of those bean bag trays used for skinning up on?

I will tell my octogenarian father he should use his for rolling wacky baccy not his dinner.

Maybe give up on a laptop as such and use it with a big 4k tv with a wireless keyboard & mouse? Possibly a fixed joystick in mouse mode.

Got to say there are a lot of options but what you needs depends on both your circumstances and exactly where you sit (i.e. would the desk legs need to be in front or to the side.

I would suggest you find a disability shop (I know, I know) and get some advice

I suspect if it was an IT issue courtg9000 wouldn't have any issues. The issue is that it's a physical issue and it's hard to identify decent disability advice and suppliers from complete cowboys (for that area has more of them than even the umbrella industry).

They are volunteer IT experts for people with disabilities. They are almost certainly dealing with people who have similar mobility issues and as its volunteer driven are likely to give an honest answer. They may be able to point to accessories that help we don't know about. Bigger keyboards, joy sticks etc.

For instance in IT support I had a user with poor vision and screen readers are a maze to get just the right one for the problem in hand. They are also quite expensive so don't get the wrong one advice is handy.

Its always best to ask a mechanic what cars he recommends and why, even if you fix your own.
