My lads are always saying 'I'm not gonna lie' before most things.
Keep telling them it's like I'm not racist but... and the next sentence is usually racist so I assume the are going to tell a lie. Doesn't stop them.'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!! -

Given the lack of proper English these days (hey, I'm old, I was taught this stuff...) little winds me up. Fake Jamaican by some dope from Bristol or estuary English done badly by 90% of non-Londoners trying to be hip are way more irritating.

"Don't worry about a thing
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right
Singin': "Don't worry about a thing
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right!"
Rise up this mornin'
Smile with the risin' sun
Three little birds
Pitch by my doorstep
Singin' sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true
Sayin', ("This is my message to you-ou-ou")
Singin': "Don't worry 'bout a thing
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right"
Singin': "Don't worry (don't worry) 'bout a thing
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right!"

Singin': "Don't worry about a thing, worry about a thing, oh!
Every little thing gonna be all right. Don't worry!"
Singin': "Don't worry about a thing" – I won't worry!

A project manager used to always start his meetings with "okay..."
But, instead of pronouncing it okay he would, bizarrely, pronounce it "hock-eye" instead. Maybe he had some kind of speech impediment, or something, but it really got my goat.Comment
