        So, just got it set up & its all working.

        In the end the solution was this KVM switch all wired up to the craft PC & the laptop docking station, 2 monitors, KB & M.

        So when I want to unplug / plug in the laptop in its just the single thunderbolt connection to the docking station.

          I didn't see this until today. Another thought was if the Monitor has HDMI + USB ports is to run a cable to each and swap them between machines. Plug in the USB peripherals to the monitor. Works fine in my WFH setup.
