It's not really relevant if people here agree with her, but what those more expert in her field think. Does her view represent the scientific consensus or is she a lone voice - if the latter than by comparison she IS rather junior. You can nearly always find at least one person with a radically different view - physics is full of quite well qualified 'crazies' with outlandish ideas for instance.

Please. It is barely relevant and she is a trainee scientist. The conspiracy theorists absolutely live on this sort of crap - opinions spouted by trainee scientists with irrelevant or barely connected qualifications. Being a scientist, but especially a postdoc, doesn't make you an expert on science in general - postdocs have all sorts of battulip crazy ideas and opinions, just like the rest of the population

I'm merely saying that you don't have a scooby-doo about how science works, that's all, so it means you can't easily distinguish between solid opinions and battwuntish opinions, it's mostly all the same to you - "some scientist said XYZ and I like the idea that they're right".
