    Eurocrats published the rule months ago as part of a guide on 'inclusive communication', details of which leaked leading to a furious backlash.

    Other suggestions in the book included replacing Christian names such as Mary and John with 'international' names such as Malika and Julio when using them in generic examples, and swapping the word 'man-made' for 'human-induced'.

    Daily Mail gets worked up about the EU.
    Needs to deflect from local issues and knows the trigger words for its readers.
    Conflates "Christian" with "English"
    Relies on its snowflake readers to have a frothing meltdown.

    Mary wasn't called Mary. She might have been Maria (Greek) or possibly Miriam (Aramaic)
    John would have been Yohanan or Ioannes
    Anglicising a name doesn't mean that is what they were called, it's just an interpretation that works in a particular language.

        Anyway last time I looked the UK wasn't in the EU.

        Instead we are led by someone who has a social distance with the truth.

            You really are confused as to who pulls the strings.

            Why do you think the Andrew Neil story isn't getting the coverage it should.
            Why are all your sources so quick to forget about Prince Andrew and get back to Meghan bashing?

                    Just replace "man-made" with "small-batch, hand-crafted", and make sure most everyone in a pamphlet is dark-skinned and in a wheelchair (that's what UK Gov genuinely did for Covid posters).
