    No not really. "It's in this 900 page book" is not really that helpful an answer to a very basic question.

    Anyway I'm convinced quantum computing is either the next big thing, a total gimmick, or possibly both/neither.

            Seriously, the author says he is an IT specialist and on a brief skim so far, it looks quite interesting and relatively approachable.
