The problem with that argument is that General really should not appear at the top of the list of forums, it really should be (for user interface purposes) underneath Technical or in its own section.

Totally agree. I said this years ago when General was going through a particularly toxic phase. If it's the worst part of the forum why is it top.

Maybe it just needs a rename ... from General, to Anything Goes or some such thing.

Problem is, if you don't know the forum already you think General means, something sensible that doesn't fit well into other areas, whereas regular users see it as a free for all area and place to take the p*ss out of Vetran
