    Turkeys voting for Christmas?

That's what they told us, but quite the opposite as it turns out... Farmers are warning of a Christmas turkey shortage because visa changes to allow labour recruitment from abroad have come too late.

Didn't do Xmas as Mrs W was end of life and died on 27th Dec. Can't see me being up for much this year; will be on my own so probably go for a piece of steak or maybe lamb. Definitely won't be buying a turkey, so that's one panic buying bandwagon that won't impact me

Order from a local farm and you'll be fine, I'm sure.

Except they're probably all booked up, or will be very shortly? Never liked turkey personally, we normally go with a massive chicken if we have guests. Have always like the idea of doing beef or something though.

Yep, I'm ordering a side of lamb from an exmoor farm

May give turkey a miss this time, especially as I'm supposed to be on a diet
