    Meat is misogyny

    https://californianewstimes.com/masc...claims/429496/

Masculinity: Men like meat because it makes them feel more MANLY, study claims

Men like meat because it feels masculine: men consume more beef and chicken than women and establish and confirm a masculine identity, “the study claims.
    • UCLA experts surveyed approximately 1,700 US adults about their diet and gender sensations.
    • The more men follow traditional gender roles, the more beef / chicken they eat
    • According to researchers, the same tendency is not seen among women
    • Findings may help encourage men to switch to a sustainable meat-free diet
for Giggles a source that isn't the wail!
Apparently if you give up meat noxious emissions decrease! Thought that was beans.

Fail to see how that is misogyny. It appears to be saying that masculinity is bad and not to be encouraged so more androgyny than anything.

Not big on alliteration or humour then?

I found it interesting that masculinity (a male issue) is being put forward as a key cause of meat eating. I know plenty of women who eat meat because it tastes nice and they enjoy it.

The researchers didn't make people do a food diary and people misremember what they eat.

So take the survey with a pinch of salt

And people in more traditional lives mis-remember more/differently? Men misremember more/differently to women? Seems like this would be the sort of systemic error that evens out.

And you shouldn't be adding salt to anything.

Both would under estimate and over estimate the kinds of food they consumed.

The would need to do something like this - https://www.nutrition.org.uk/nutriti...on-survey.html - which is very expensive to carry out, rather than something like this - https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JP2SWKZ
