It was on the TV the other night. OPEC had cut production during pandemic, will be upping it soon or the American shale fields will become viable again.

Anyone earning less than 100K will be priced out of owning and running a car

      "Let them take buses"

(I only half think the above, less cars on the roads would be nice, but these things hit the poorest hardest)
It was the same with petrol cars in the early days, and cars only became affordable and widespread in the UK after WW2

So obviously what we need is another World War. Bring it on, I say, and then we an all be scooting about in cheap electric cars!

Did I say anything different? 100k per year is a bit better than the average person but still poor. 1mil in the bank is good but still poor as you will still have to sell your time to someone else for the rest of your life.
Rich is few mills in the bank, the lifestyle, and being able to live without selling your time. In my book if you have to see your time to someone else, you are poor.

If you want to live in Z1 in a nice house, you need millions and you still need a job to pay the upkeep. Keeping your 100k car somewhere will cost more than many peoples' salaries

exactly, do you think that the society has another category other then multi-millionares and poor people? Please feel free to expand.

Poor people such as yourself normally like to find nicer labels.

You are not part of the upper rentier class (like many members here)

You are not even a home owner.

You are low life tenant scum

                      I don't accept your premise.
