Macaroon overcooked and Le Penn suffered a stroke of defeat
Did anyone think it was going to be any different? This is exactly what happened with UKIP and other similar outfits in other countries. These parties get a lot of support as people are angry about the situation so use them to voice their anger but thankfully when it comes to the crunch they realise they don't want these groups running anything so dump them when the vote means something.
I must admit, I have never understood why the mainstream groups haven't picked up on this and produce a strong response to immigration but not to the extremes of UKIP and the like and hoover up. Wouldn't need these types of parties if the mainstream picked up on the fact people are angry. Just because the mainstream parties win doesn't mean people have changed their minds on immigration. Le Penns group might have a strong following on a single topic but you really don't want them actually running anything.

That's interesting why do you think France is fixated on immigration, when migration rates in France are so low.

Which number are you thinking of, the number of immigrants granted refugee status, or the number of migrants 'passing through' on the way to the UK or elsewhere? Le Pen has come quite close to the Presidency in the past by using migration as an issue, so quite a lot of people in France don't think migration is as low as you seem to.
His heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain...

It is more concentrated in the big cities and there is obvious segregation. They do practice forced expulsion like us, its not popular or cheap.
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

People's perceptions and actuality of numbers differ.
