That and the Cossie had the advantage of old school AWD so it could actually put the power down without being interupted by wheel speed sensors etc...... I don't think the figures really tell you anything, even my little 800cc VFR will do 0-60 in 4 and a bit seconds if you have a quickshift and know how to use it. More likely the tyre technology has improved to the extent that the actual mechanical grip is better.

I had a 1969 351 Mach 1 Mustang that could "do" 0-60 in 6 seconds but only if you jacked the rear end up about 6 inches... Again tyre technology was it's biggest issue.

Is that a zero emissions vehicle? Since we are facing a mass extinction and climate crisis, I would urge you to think again about how many lives this is killing evertime you start up the carbon emitting engine.

"The climate math is brutally clear: While the world can't be healed within the next few years, it may be fatally wounded by negligence until 2020," said Hans Joachim Schellnhuber, founder and now director emeritus of the Potsdam Climate Institute.

Nice. I had a stage one ST3 for a while. Rapid, nice kit on it, etc. Should have kept it, looking back, but wanted something more frugal; then Covid arrived and I have done c.5k miles in about 18 months.

When my wife wrote off my company car* in 2001, the lease company were terribly apologetic. The only car they could deliver to me within hours was a 2l Focus. I don't remember the entire spec, but it certainly had no button blanks... The handliong was seriously good.

The Focus is AWD too ... it's like it's running on rails!

Meh ... I chose not to breed, so my genes are going to be a lot more environmentally friendly than those who procreated Plus, having no offspring, who cares how the earth will be in 30 years time? Not my problem

Bought a steering lock today - I feel like I'm back in the 80's Contemplating sticking a tracker on it too ... or the Ghost engine cutout.
