What drives me potty about Netflix is they way the text summaries don't keep up when one is clicking through the films and series lists. Also, there isn't a summary at all once you have dipped into a film - You have to delve into it again to see the summary.

I mean an image of a film must be a good 100 KB at least, and the summary text is rarely more than 200 bytes. So it can only be very poor design that the text has to be treated so differently to the image that this delay is caused, even allowing for multilingual text provision.

So how does watching an hour streaming compare with watching an hour of normal TV, or a DVD, or a digital video you have stored locally? I'd have thought Netflix et al have the most efficient servers available.
But then how much emissions IS a 1/4 mile drive? "One hour of Netflix is same environmental impact as 15s of driving" doesn't have quite the same ring to it...

Totally agree with you. Rarely find anything worth watching apart from Sponge Bob Squarepants.
