Astra Zenica and the snowflake generation

So the "Under 30s", a sizeable proportion of whom seem more than happy to snort/smoke any number of dodgy chemicals to "chill out", are to be offered alternative vaccination options because of a miniscule concern over blood clots.
    You couldn't make it up!

Maybe there is something in the contention that too much wacky baccy can make you paranoid?

About 25% of younger people take some form of illicit drug. Perhaps it's for the benefit of the 75% who don't? Maybe the drug using youngsters would be more than happy to continue with AZ.
Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!

But if it confirms their specialness and gets them vaccinated then so be it. But yes they pop all sorts of stuff and indulge in various extreme sports that carry significant risk so it is being paranoid to deliberate over a vanishingly small risk from the vaccination that will save their lives

One of my projects is dealing with an IT company in Serbia and I've just found out that some development is delayed because a dozen of their staff have Covid, all young people so the risk is real!

AZ works fine and will save the world It also reduces your risk of getting a blood clot as the risk after having the vaccine is less than the risk without it

Why risk if Pfizer appears to be much safer (at least so far) and much more effective?

It's going to be the gold standard for Covid vaccinations.

Single shot JJ will be used for poor countries, there won't be space for Astra Zeneca and it won't be long before Astra Zeneca realises that continued use is just hitting their brand.

Oxford should have gone with Merck but it appears they did not because otherwise they (not Oxford but founders of the startup that wants to IPO in USA) will have had less money from Merck. Makes sense now why they went with Astra Zeneca

Proof? In effect they're equally as effective and probably carry the same risks. Much better than the Sputnik or Sino vaccines the EU may get

100 mln+ people had Pfizer by now, a lot more than Astra Zeneca - they just successfully tested it in kids, if blod clots are more likely in younger for Astra Zeneca, then no chance it will be given to kids, finding out what causes rare clots could be way too expensive to bother.

Astra Zeneca completely ****ed it up with ****ed up trials and now it's clear they (UK Govt) were hiding blood clots while EU had serious concerns about it.

                  This looks very bad.

                  Sputnik/Sino stuff I don't even consider

Anyone who purchased a Vauxhall Astra Zeneca really only has themselves to blame.
